Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) Municipal Education Directorate issued a press release concerning the viral news of a teacher impregnating 3 girls in the District.
The source of this publication is said to emanate from a seminar organized by the Ghana Education Service Guidance and Counselling Centre at Kwadaso in the Ashanti Region which was delivered by Dr. Kyeremeh Tawiah Dabone, a lecturer at the University of Cape Coast Counselling Centre during a public lecture.
However, when KEEA District contacted the presenter of the statement, Dr. Kyeremeh Tawiah Dabone, he emphatically explained that he never mentioned or associated the said pregnancy issue to KEEA as a Municipality or any other school under the KEEA Education Director.
KEEA Municipal Education Directorate and the KEEA Municipal Assembly in the press statement informed the entire General Public that such publication associated with the Education Directorate and the Assembly is totally false, untrue, distasteful and maliciously carried out to put the reputation of the Municipality and the Education Directorate into gross disrepute.
From the above established position on the issue, Managements of the Education Directorate and the KEEA Municipal Assembly demanded an urgent and unreserved RETRACTION of such publication about the Municipality, by of this unfortunate publication which has attempted to ALL Media Houses and Social Media platforms by the same mode of Public Communication used within the shortest possible time from today.
They continued to state that they will seriously monitor such retractions from all angles that we consider involved. GEEA Municipal further demanded that Star FM, UTV and Modern Ghana render an apology in this respect to save the situation. Management of the KEEA Education Directorate and the KEEA Municipal Assembly expressed appreciation to all groups and individuals who showed much concer n on the issue in the interest and development of Komenda Abrem Municipality.
