A teacher, Mr. Fianyo, of Charti M/A Primary School in the Nkwanta South Education District of Oti Region is appealing for support to help the learners in his school.
Charti M/A Primary School has experienced heavy rainfalls which has led to the damage of some part of the school’s structures.
Mr. Fianyo, who has always been enthusiastic about helping children was not perturbed by the structure and state of the school when he was posted there to teach. As a result of that, he has helped the children in the Charti community in any way he can.
Mr. Fianyo explained that because of the situation in the school, most teachers have transferred from there and are left with only two (2) teachers (including him) to teach from KG1 to Class 6.
Damaged School Structures
The recent heavy rainfalls also affected the Charti community. The shelter that was a classroom for KG1 and KG2 was completely damaged. This has left the learners with no classroom to learn. Mr. Fianyo explained that this has been the norm there whenever it rains and it sometimes take 2 weeks for the villagers to put up the same structure again.
The Nkwanta Education District is aware of the situation in Charti M/A Primary and have ensured that the school will get the necessary attention it needs.
However, Mr. Fianyo explained that he’s unawere how long it will take for the plans of the District to be implemented. He is thus seeking for temporary aid to assist him in his teaching and learning activities.
“I understand that these processes take time but how long will my colleague and I wait? That is why I am appealing for support to provide a white board and some chairs This won’t solve the whole problem but it will be enough for my colleague and I to wake up and go to work with enthusiasm.” Mr. Fianyo added.
Appeal for Support
Mr. Fianyo, along with some friends of his have already donated clothes to the people of Charti recently.
He made it clear that he’ll do all he can as a professional teacher to improve upon the pupils’ reading abilities and requires a board and some chairs to aid him in his teaching.
