How to Register the Headteacher and CL on the GES PLC Platform

The management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has launched a new app called GES PLC App in an effort to enhance the Professional Learning Community (PLC) implementation in basic schools across the nation.

According to GES, the Ghana Library Authority provided technical support for the creation of the developed and reliable integrated application system known as the GES PLC App.

A virtual training session was subsequently conducted by GES for district training officers, ICT coordinators, deputy directors of supervision, and Basic School coordinators.

The Ghana Education Service PLC App is anticipated to enhance the Professional Learning Communities’ implementation in elementary schools, thereby improving student learning results.

How to Register the Headteacher

Although the PLC App is available on plays tore, it is advisable to use the website for creating the account:

• Visit the PLC website by clicking on this website plc.gov.gh
• Click on Create Account.
• In the new Menu which appeared, click on the “Head Teacher” tile
• Fill in the form with the necessary details which include; EMIS Code, Full Name, Phone Number, School email and password. (The email is a special email generated by GES. If you use your personal email, it won’t work. Contact your IT Coordinator if you don’t have that email)

• Note that the username will be generated automatically after the school email is entered.
• Click on CREATE and wait for a success confirmation.
• After successfully creating the account for the Headteacher, go back to the log in page and sign in with the username which was generated and password.

How to Register the Curriculum Lead (CL)

• Visit the PLC website by clicking on this website plc.gov.gh
• Click on Create Account.
• In the new Menu which appeared, click on the “Curriculum Lead” tile
• Fill in the form with the necessary details which include; Verification Code, Full Name, Phone Number, School email and your unique password.

• The verification Code can be obtained from the Head Teacher’s profile.
• Click on CREATE and wait for a success confirmation.
• After successfully creating the account for the Headteacher, go back to the log in page and Sign in.

NB: You can now use the application to upload all files and data after creating the account. The app is available on Play Store and App Store.
