The Leadership of Innovative Teachers Union (ITU) and All Teachers Alliance Ghana (ATAG) have filed a lawsuit against 4 parties involved in the procurement of the TM1 Laptop under the ‘1T1L’ initiative.
The Two Unions had earlier written a letter to Ghana Education Service in relation to the One Teacher, One Laptop initiative on 29th June, 2021 with GES also replying to the query.
GES initially explained that the idea of Laptop acquisition was brought to them by GNAT, NAGRAT and CCT. It also mentioned that it was not compulsory and that teachers who do not need it can opt out.

However, ATAG and ITU appears to be dissatisfied with the response and have decided to file a lawsuit. This was revealed in a joint press statement by the two Teacher Unions dated on 12th November, 2021. The suit tends to question the legal capacity of K.A Technologies Ghana Limited and the contract that was given to them to manufacture Laptops.
