The Ghana Education Service’s (GES) attention has been drawn to a disturbing video of assault involving two students of Adisadel College.
The video has been circulating on various social media platforms for the wrong reasons and since sparked debate among social media users.

The Incidence of the Assault
In the viral video, it appears that one student has his arms around the victim and appears to be strangling him.
In retaliation, the victim who appears to be holding the culprit’s phone, smashed it to the ground.
The culprit in return moves the victim close to the bunk bed and smashes his head against it which left the victim hurt and bleeding.
The cause of the altercation is yet to be confirmed but it appears the issue happened weeks ago around June but both students lied about the incident.
The recent viral video was said to be the first time the authorities in the school saw it and have quickly arranged a disciplinary committee according to EDHUB on twitter.

GES Communique
The management of GES has emphatically condemned that barbaric act of violence in the school and urged the sschool authorities to immediately suspend the culprit.
The Regional Director of Education has also been tasked to liase with school authorities of Adisadel College to investigate and met out appropriate sanctions.
GES assured the general public that they take such matters seriously and are committed to ensuring safe and secure learning environment for all students.
